The big day is almost here. For the last week or so we have been living in a state of limbo. Our household goods are on a truck, somewhere. We will be leaving town on Tuesday for Kentucky. This is not an easy time, but we know that God has a plan for us in KY at this point in our lives. While it sure would be nice to stay here and grow with our friends and church family, we will instead be challenged to step out in faith in a new town.
We have been blessed by dear friends who have housed various children of ours for various lengths of time so that they do not go insane in a house that is empty. We will miss them terribly when we are gone. Friends like them show us a true example of Christ's work on earth. They willingly opened their home, shared their food, offered patience, grace, and mercy to us during this time of transition. The friendship they offered to us the entire time we have been here in GA has been an answer to prayer. I have gained much through friendship with them. It is nice to have friends that offer advice without being judgemental, that you can share your highest moments and deepest failures with. I truly cherish my friendship with Abbie and love her children and their family.
